Inauguration of the New Academic Year 2026–27 and Mother’s Day Celebration

Nirmala English Medium School, Brahmavar, joyfully inaugurated the new academic year 2026–27 with a warm and meaningful welcome program. Welcoming someone is a sign of acceptance, love, and belonging. In keeping with this spirit, the school extended a cordial welcome to all newly admitted students from Nursery to Class X.

The celebration was unique and memorable, as it was combined with the observance of Mother’s Day for the parents. Despite heavy rains, the enthusiasm and commitment of the parents remained undiminished. Around 250 parents attended the program, making it a grand success.

The Chief Guest for the inauguration of the new academic year was Rev. Fr. John Fernandes, Joint Secretary of the school. The Mother’s Day celebration was graced by Mrs. Sunita D’Souza, a medical professional from Brahmavar, who was the Guest of Honour for the occasion.

The program was thoughtfully organized under the leadership of the Principal, Rev. Fr. Mathias Dias, OFM Cap., with the active support and cooperation of the teachers and students. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the event and created a welcoming atmosphere for students and parents alike.

A special highlight of the day was the celebration of Mother’s Day, which was organized for the first time in the history of the school. The occasion provided an opportunity to honour and appreciate mothers for their unconditional love, sacrifices, and invaluable contribution to the upbringing of their children.

The combined celebration of the new academic year and Mother’s Day made the event truly meaningful and memorable, setting a positive and inspiring tone for the academic year ahead.
