Welcome to Holy Family Church, Brahmavara. Raita Siri App Workshop Empowers Farmers at HFC
A workshop on the Raita Siri App was held at Holy Family Church, Brahmavara, in collaboration with Sampada, Udupi Diocese, and members of the local women and men Self-Help Groups.
The session was led by Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto, Director of Sampada, Udupi Diocese. Fr. Pinto explained the features and practical use of the Raita Siri App, highlighting how it supports farmers in receiving fair recognition and just returns for their hard work in cultivation. The initiative also promotes access to genuine organic produce, helping communities protect their health through chemical-free food.
Nearly 100 participants attended and benefited from the workshop.
The programme began with a warm welcome extended to Fr. Reginald Pinto, Parish Priest Fr. John Fernandes, Fr. Joachim D’Souza, Parish Vice-President Mr. Ravi Prakash Gonsalves, and Coordinator of the 20 Commissions Mrs. Gretta D’Souza. Mr. Robert welcomed the gathering, and Mrs. Dolly proposed the vote of thanks. Fr. John Fernandes led the opening prayer.
The workshop underscored the dignity of farmers’ labour and the importance of supporting local organic produce for the well-being of families and the wider community.
